Netflix for some reason; continuous stream of content with auto play can gobble up significant chunk of data and you can be at loss, specifically if you are using tiered data.

To stop Netflix auto-playing episodes, you can turn auto-play feature in your account. Here are the steps you need to follow to do so:

  1. Go to www.netflix.com.
  2. Click on the ‘Sign-in’ button displayed in red on top right of the home page. 
  3. Sign in to your account with your login credentials. 
  4. Your profile will be displayed. If you have multiple profiles set up, select profile for which you want to change settings. If you have single profile, then you will be directly taken to it. 
  5. Select your name displayed at top right corner of the screen. Then select ‘My Account’ option from the drop-down box. 
  6. At the bottom of the screen, you will find ‘Playback Settings’ option. Scroll down to it. Uncheck the option.

  7. Save the settings. 

It will simply turn off automatic play of next episode. Other settings will remain as it is.
